Sharelock are tackling 'throwaway culture' by offering a platform where users can share, and borrow, single-or-rarely-used items.
We all have that thing we bought and used once then left at the back of a cupboard, in the shed or somewhere in the garage. Sharelock looks to make use of these items by creating a hub in which people can offer up their rarely used possessions such as hardware and tools, or things that others might not be able to afford if they're only going to use it a handful of times.
The client requested a logo which got this across in a simple wordmark and steered clear of 'Sherlock' imagery such as a pipe and deerstalker. They were big fans of negative space, and thought it important to represent the network / connections aspect of their platform somewhere in the design.
