Evan Reynolds hosts '90-minutes of action-packed entertainment provided by musicians, magicians, comics, acrobats, jugglers, and all-around awesome performers' under the brand Evan's Family Variety Show. From Seattle Washington, Evan hosted a competition to design his new show logo towards the end of 2019 and our submission was chosen as the winning concept from an early stage in the contest.

We worked with Evan to establish how the new logo can be so much more than just that, expanding the glitzy, 1920's styling throughout the rest of his brand, incorporating rose gold tones and glossy textures in posters, social media branding, the event website, etc. The logo itself was created mostly in MAXON Cinema 4D, building a 3D composition from an illustrated base using extrusion, HDRI reflections, global illumination, a bespoke lighting environment and over 130 individually hand-placed bulbs. Then brought into Photoshop to refine reflections, erroneous artefacts and the overall tone of the image, Evan's Family Variety Show now has a logo it can be proud of, at the heart of a wider brand identity enabled by this eye-catching centerpiece.
