In late 2018 we had the opportunity to work on a competition brief submitted by a Nissan franchise dealership in Katy, Texas. Our proposal was met with immediate acclaim for its bold simplicity and suitability for the industry in question.
Applying the iconic colour scheme of Nissan dealerships around the world, our submission was swiftly chosen as the winning proposal with its combination of a sleek, sans-serif logotype based on the extended lettering style of the original Nissan badge. Our case was supported by a series of accompanying collateral designs, employing a clean red and white colour scheme and simple, lightweight body formatting.
The final element of our overall submission was a series of mockups to envisage the proposed logo as a large, 3D sign on the front of the rebranded Nissan dealership. This render was achieved entirely in Adobe Photoshop, and created in such a way that a range of mild iterations could be swapped into the 'logo' layer with ease, and instantly become part of the photorealistic storefront.
The new logo and its accompanying print design have now been taken by the team at Katy Nissan as the creative foundation for all branded media going forward. We're proud to have worked with, and successfully won the brief for this particular dealership - it makes a great addition to our continuously expanding portfolio of international clients, and we hope to work with Katy Nissan again soon...
