3D Next Level
3D Next Level are a Netherlands-based 3D printing specialist, who boast the largest 3D printer in the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg).
The competition brief for this project started out with a request for a 'jumping elephant' motif - this was to signify making real the impossible, helping their clients to achieve what might previously have been thought of as intangible. This is what 3D Next Level do - make possible the impossible in the space of 3D printing, and the jumping elephant motif was an abstract vehicle to convey this mantra.
We built our design around a minimal elephant design which was first received as too simple, lacking the desired intricacy and detail... however, discussing this further with the client allowed us to successfully pitch our idea for a clean, pared back design which wouldn't over-complicate the look when accompanied by their relitively lengthy brand name.
A black-and-orange colour scheme began to develop a bold industrial aesthetic, fitting for the large-scale printing they handle at 3D Next Level. Their flagship machine from Massivit is capable of 3D-printing up to 1.5 meters in height, and almost the same in diameter!
Once the client had picked our design as the winning entry to their contest, we developed a series of associated collateral from letterheads, business cards and a Microsoft PowerPoint master to a fully-functioning Excel invoice template. The invoice template included company branding, pre-formatted cells and a print-ready layout which automatically calculated VAT, sum totals and accounted for any discounts applied.
The new company identity now applies to all online, digitlal and printed media for 3D Next Level, featuring our jumping elephant and associated styling throughout the brand.
